Introduction to Direct Hair Transplant (DHT)
At Eugenix, research drives every aspect of our work. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is achievable in hair transplant procedures.
Our commitment to research has led us to develop groundbreaking techniques, such as the Direct Hair Transplant (DHT) method, which significantly enhances the survival rate of transplanted hair grafts. We are also at the forefront of utilising body hair as an alternative donor source.

The Research Journey: Perfecting DHT
Our research journey began with a pursuit of excellence in Direct Hair Transplantation. To achieve the best possible results, we conducted extensive research and performed DHT procedures on 29 patients. The primary objective was to assess the effectiveness and feasibility of direct hair transplantation.
Our Methodology
Patients willing to undergo follicular unit extraction procedures were carefully selected for the research. After local anaesthesia was administered, recipient sites were meticulously prepared. The entire process, from scoring the skin with a motorised punch to graft extraction and simultaneous implantation, was executed with precision. These patients were closely monitored to observe the time it took for hair growth initiation, the growth achieved at the 6-8 month mark, and to identify any adverse events. Patient outcomes were categorised as ‘good’ if they showed noticeable improvement in photographs and a reduction in baldness grade; otherwise, they were classified as ‘poor.’
The Remarkable Findings
Our study involved 29 male patients, aged between 21 and 66 years (with a median age of 30). Among them, 26 had androgenetic alopecia, one had traction alopecia, and two had scarring alopecia. Impressively, 27 patients demonstrated ‘good’ results, while two showed ‘poor’ results.
A Groundbreaking Conclusion
The research findings underscore the efficacy of Direct Hair Transplantation as a simple and feasible modification of the follicular unit extraction technique. It is a highly effective surgical treatment for baldness, offering remarkable results.
